Located halfway between San Jose and San Francisco in San Mateo County, City of San Carlos is a small residential suburb with about 28,000 residents. City of San Carlos means the City of Good Living. This suburb has many shops and restaurants and highly ranked schools. There are many community events including the Hometown Days carnival at Burton Park in May, the Art & Wine Faire and the Farmer’s Market on Laurel Street every Thursdays. This is also known as the Hot Harvest Nights.
A delightful downtown that includes a mix of excellent restaurants and unique shops. Laurel Street has evolved into one of the more popular areas in the County, with merchants clamoring for space amongst busy boutiques. This area is home to The San Carlos Airport, History Museum and the Hiller Aviation Museum.

The San Carlos School District services students in City of San Carlos. These schools include Carlmont High School and several elementary and middle schools. As part of the northern end of Silicon Valley, here there are several technology companies and West Coast’s biotech and medical instrumentation firms.
